Welcome to River North
The Near North Side of Chicago sits alongside the Chicago River, providing breathtaking views of the city's downtown area. Situated just north of the bustling downtown area, the Near North Side has fast-paced urban energy, surrounded by world-class restaurants and shopping. It’s home to one of the city’s hottest nightlife scenes, with a large number of bars and clubs that draw weekday and weekend crowds.
Once a manufacturing district filled with warehouses, the Near North Side is now one of the most fashionable and trendsetting neighborhoods in Chicago. Historic architecture beautifully melds with modern design and amenities, and it’s only steps away from the city’s premiere shopping district along Michigan Avenue and the luxury-centered Oak Street District. The area has a high-energy theater, club, and bar scene, and is also home to the nationally recognized Northwestern and Lurie Children’s Hospital.
Near North Side Real Estate
The Near North Side includes the neighborhoods of River North, Streeterville, Gold Coast, and a portion of Old Town. These areas offer the best of luxury living, featuring mostly high-rise condominiums and stately, historic single-family homes.
Newer buildings cater to the ultra-luxury buyer and some condos boast floor-to-ceiling windows and provide unobstructed city views from all directions. Many of these luxury highrises will offer amenities such as pools, gyms, rooftops, party rooms, and work-from-home spaces.
Walk just a few blocks north and you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful turn-of-the-century mansions built by some of Chicago’s most prominent founding families. Some of these estates have been divided into unique condo units (such as the West Burton Place Historic District), while most remain multi-million dollar single family homes.
