Known for its lush historic boulevards, Logan Square lies northwest of downtown Chicago. The greater Logan Square area includes the neighborhoods of Logan Square, Bucktown, Palmer Square, and parts of Kosciuszko Park and Belmont Gardens.
The neighborhood is known for its historic architecture, diverse community, and vibrant arts and culture scene. You’ll find a number of art galleries, street art murals, theaters, and music venues, as well as several parks and outdoor spaces, including the 606 trail.
At the center of Logan Square is the three-way intersection of Milwaukee Avenue, Logan Boulevard and Kedzie Boulevard. There you’ll find the Illinois Centennial Monument which was built in 1918 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Illinois becoming a state.
A thriving commercial corridor extends from the square along Milwaukee Avenue and hosts a diverse roster of notable restaurants, shops, and bars. The wide boulevards are home to stunningly preserved Victorian homes and historic mansions.
Tucked away throughout the neighborhood, you’ll find numerous restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and breweries offering a wide range cuisine and refreshments. And there are plenty of parks and green spaces that residents enjoy year-round.
Transportation is plentiful, with easy access to the Edens Expressway (90/94), many CTA Blue Line EL stops, a Metra commuter train station, and bus lines that cross the neighborhood.

- Catch a cult film at The Logan - The Logan Theatre is a vintage movie house that has been revamped to include a cozy bar and lounge. It screens everything from first-run films to cult classics to indie favorites. It also hosts the annual Chicago Underground Film Festival, the longest-running underground film fest in the world.
- Take a ride on the 606 (formerly Bloomingdale Trail) - Built on the site of old railroad tracks, the 606 trail is a pedestrian and bike thoroughfare. Vibrant and eclectic public art lines the street-level concrete walls.

- Try a Jibarito - A Jibarito is a Puerto Rican sandwich that is made with flattened and fried green plantains instead of bread. It usually contains meat (such as steak or chicken), lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise or garlic-flavored sauce. The sandwich is said to have originated in Chicago's Puerto Rican community in the 1990s, and the sandwich has become a beloved symbol of the neighborhood's cultural diversity and heritage. Today, there are many restaurants and food stands in the neighborhood that serve Jibaritos, but residents always sing the praises of Jibaritos y Mas on the corner of Fullerton and Kimball.
